Jaemin Choi
PhD Candidate in Computer Science

Jaemin Choi is a PhD Candidate in Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He joined the Parallel Programming Laboratory (PPL) led by Prof. Laxmikant (Sanjay) Kale as a research assistant in 2016. With broad interests in High Performance Computing (HPC) and GPU Computing, his research focuses on mitigating performance inefficiencies and scalability issues on today’s GPU-accelerated systems from a runtime system point of view. He is the lead developer/researcher of GPU support in Charm++, a widely used asynchronous task-based parallel programming model.
